Alex Hamel
(Lead Guitar)

Alex Hamel is a multi-instrumentalist working professionally in rock, jazz, classical, and musical theater settings throughout Grand Rapids area. He graduated from GVSU in 2005 with bachelor's degree in Music - Jazz Studies.

He has been a part of the pit orchestra for many shows throughout West MI, including A Chorus Line, Nine, the Sound of Music, the Rocky Horror Show, and currently, Grease at the Grand Rapids Civic.

Alex is an accompanist for modern dance classes for the GVSU dance department, and has also studied steeldrums, middle eastern percussion, and balinese gamelan. He has been performing with Pangea for around 10 years.
